The people in A.I.M.z.s. have been involved in Erasmus+ since 2015. The history of engagement started with the Project Manager Mrs. Medwell and Project Assistant Mrs. Novotná at another NGO (Farni charita Ceska Lipa) – see further bellow detailed description. Due to the fact Farni charita´s main mission was to provide social services and the idea of Erasmus+ projects at this Organisation was not supported enough, and based on seeing the impact of such projects on the target group and generally local community, Mrs. Medwell engaged in a new NGO AIM AT SUPPORT z.ú., undergoing the whole proces again – see more details bellow. At Farni charita and AIM AT SUPPORT Mrs. Novotná was involved. Mr. Michal Svatoň engaged in activites at AIM AT SUPPORT. At both Organisation we hosted 6 volunteers from 6 different countries at a time (for 12 months) with various disadvantages. During 2017-2019 Mrs. Medwell ran a scientific research under Charles University – Faculty of Pedagogy on the impact of international volunteering experience on volunteers and related target group – see more details bellow. In 2018 under AIM AT SUPPORT,z.ú. Mrs. Medwell applied for Volunteering Partnership under ESC including 3 mobilities. Unfortunately only first mobility took place due to decision of the Founder and Director of AIM AT SUPPORT, z.ú. (Mr. Zacek) who decided in June 2019 close the NGO and therefore also return the grant and finish the Volunteering Partnership project in its course. As Mrs. Medwell, Mrs. Novotná and Mr. Svatoň already knew about the great impact and meaningfulness of such projects and had already extensive experience including hosting volunteers with various challenging disadvantages, they decided not to let it go and established an NGO A.I.M.z.s. – a democratic NGO (zapsaný spolek contrary to previous zapsaný ústav), not to have this happen again in terms of one person deciding over the existence of such great work. Mrs. Medwell repeatedly was sharing her experience at various occassions organised by the DZS, not only in CR but also in Brussels. Further, Mrs. Medwell was appointed by the DZS in 2017 to represent the Czech Republic at the Erasmus+ Generation discussions – in the group on social inclusion, and finally went to Brussels for the gathering in November 2017.
We believe our team as well as the community are very well prepared to continue our activities under ESC projects based on our past experience and our enthusiasm and beliefs to carry out such activites for the public benefit as well as the development of all engaged persons including our team.
