Sozialwerk Breisgau gGmbH stands up for the rights of people in their working and living environment: Every child and every adult should be able to develop their individual wishes and abilities regardless of the type of support they require. Following on from this, we are continuing to expand the existing housing and work opportunities and are also constantly developing new projects.
Sozialwerk Breisgau gGmbH was founded in the middle of 2013 as a spin-off from Heilpädagogisches Sozialwerk e. V. and, like its predecessor, sees itself as a sponsor and pioneer of new initiatives, for example the Haus Tobias in Freiburg and the Werkstätten Am Bruckwald in Waldkirch are part of our facilities.
At Sozialwerk Breisgau, 600 people between the ages of three and 70 are living and working in all walks of life, from kindergarten to school and working life, with and without the need for support.
The Heilpädagogische Sozialwerk Freiburg e. V. was founded in 1967 as a non-profit association. Its special concern to this day is to offer individual learning and development opportunities in line with the anthroposophical image of man, as well as good living and working conditions tailored to the needs of people in need of mental care, i.e. people in need of assistance.
