Camphill Village Chistye Kluchi, meaning Clear Springs, is a social therapeutic community for and with adults with special needs.Chistye Kluchi offers a permanent solution for those parents who are not any more able to take care of their grown up child, but do not want to put their child in a regular state institution. The care there is of a low, not to say disastrous, level in general. Chistye Kluchi wishes to create a visible and workable alternative to the main stream residential care.

The influence of such an alternative is much wider than the people directly involved in it. There is a considerable stream of visitors which come for longer or shorter stays and thus receive an impression of how one can live with people with special needs and of their role in society. There are visits of classes from the Waldorf School in Smolensk. We take part in conferences with lectures and workgroups, where we share our experiences.
