7Arte is established on May 03, 2006 by a group of local artists in Mitrovica, Kosovo. With 10 years of experience, 7Arte plays the role of a cultural alternative center by organizing multidisciplinary cultural activities such as: audio-visual workshops, music festivals, outdoor screening, street art, poetry nights, crafts fair, exchange programs and education programs, peace building and environmental actions.

“7arte” involves and encourage women to be active in many initiatives and programs; an organization that includes environmental component, strive revitalization of abandoned buildings and change the local cultural politics.

7 Arte’s regular activities and events are mostly based on projects and the rest are based on society needs. Keeping in mind that Mitrovica does not provide any active cinema since the end of the year 1999, our organization is playing a role of alternative cultural center and also community/youth cinema.
Especially during the summer time, 7 Arte organizes open air cinema while includes and promotes young filmmakers in order to communicate with the audience/community. Beside this activity, 7 Arte is organizing regularly “BarCamps” an informal forum/speech from key people who would exchange their experiences and successful stories from different fields of the life. This activity is organized periodically /monthly and targets local community in Mitrovica.

Other regular activities are organized within the project “Kosovo’s Cultural Spaces” where our organization has to implement several activities per month, such as public debates ( the theme should be relevant to the community and cultural sector needs) and any cultural event such as: music night, poetry night, film screening, karaoke night, exhibitions, etc) This project is supported by the EU office in Pristina, Kosovo and 7 arte is partner organization with Anibar, Lumbardhi and Pogon from Croatia. The project lasts till 2022.
7Arte also provides the space for rent to many youth organizations, especially those that are coming from Pristina or other cities, so this kind of service is indirectly generating incomes for the organization and also helps on networking with organizations, community, youth and also as a promotion of the space.
