Beskrivelse af organisationen

The Waldorf Primary School and Waldorf High School is part of an independent educational movement with more than 1000 schools worldwide. We admire the unique individuality of each child. We try to encourage you to get to know and move around the world of knowledge with a map that you don't have to know by heart, but to learn to read and understand it and to have an imagination that will wake it up from a two-dimensional plane to life in space. In order to do this, we have to get out of our shell of schematic thinking, normative perception, hidden feelings. Our task is to create the conditions for this to happen as if unnoticed, without fear. Our institution already has about 150 pupils, including the kindergarten, primary school classes I-VIII and from this year onwards the first class of the High School. The school has two beautiful villas and two huge gardens. This allows children to spend every free moment in nature. Last year, together with the school's parents, the values we share were established. These values show the beauty of our School in a very proper way. A school without fear and education about freedom.

Everyone is a free man, but his freedom ends where the other person's freedom is violated. The school supports the freedom of thought, feeling and will and teaches respect for each other's boundaries.
Responsibility

We accept joint responsibility for the functioning of the school and the fact that in the development of our children the idea of freedom and responsibility is an overriding value for all of us.
The class teacher takes responsibility for a group of children during the 8 years of primary schooling and his main lesson (which is one of the foundations of Waldorf pedagogy) during this period.
Respect

We respect each other by listening to each other, answering questions and treating everyone equally. Naturally occurring conflict situations are an opportunity for us to learn about our own needs, understand the problem and find a solution that satisfies everyone. We do not learn but listen, trying to understand each other and then take corrective action.
Transparency and honesty

Our activities are public and the rules and criteria are publicly available. At the School we make sure that everyone is kept informed about important decisions, events and problems.

Trust
If there are difficulties in learning or student behaviour, the School helps to find the best way out of the situation. The parent, on the other hand, works closely with the School and trusts that the chosen path is the right one.

Education
Classes and lessons at school are conducted in a way that takes into account the developmental stage (age) of children and their needs:
movement - by using the natural ability to imitate and enjoy the child's physical activity, providing a warm atmosphere,
emotions - by developing creative imagination and feelings of enthusiasm, taking into account the need of children to follow their beloved authority,
intellect - by educating abstract thinking, scientific curiosity and independence, providing young people with teacher-technicians and advisors at the same time.
The school supports students in creative thinking, and not in reproducing imposed patterns.

Aim and motivation
The aim of the School is to develop the individuality of each child by teaching not only basic skills and abilities, but also mental and physical adaptation to the environment, finding its place in society and the world while maintaining confidence in itself as a human being.
The school motivates the students to continuous development and broadening their knowledge in a very simple way:
Instead of grading and judging, we encourage enthusiasm and initiative.
Instead of tests and continuous testing, we stimulate the creative imagination.
Instead of competition and race - we develop the ability to cooperate and interest in the environment.
Through artistic / pictorial knowledge transfer we make thinking in science teaching more flexible.
We shape the emotional sphere through art and artistic craftsmanship.
We teach flexibility and volitional skills through a variety of physical activity.
We develop social skills through the implementation of joint projects.

Safety and acceptance
The school creates a friendly atmosphere of safety. On the one hand, by eliminating the fear and tension associated with the omnipotent reign of the system of marks and exams, which prevents children from satisfying their natural "hunger" for learning and exploring the world without rushing or comparing. On the other hand, the school creates a safe space in which every child feels accepted.

Health
We support health through contact with nature, staying outdoors, healthy eating. We try to limit "civilization curvatures" such as abuse of electronics, plastic or junk food.
