Topophone is a non-profit organisation, founded in Toulouse in 2012.

Here are our different activities :
1- Music education actions for children from 5 to 18. These actions take place in schools or specialised establishments, located in priority education areas. Every year, over 1700 children participate in those actions.

2- Some of these children, who are confronted to social, financial and logistical difficulties, are willing to extend their music education. Topophone offers personalised support to 60 of them every year.

3- Several educational and musical events every year, such as Ellipse Festival, that brings together over 3500 people during a week. Pop and rock music concerts takes place in venues as well as places located in educational priority areas, such as schools or social centers, creating encouters between artists and young people in difficulty.

4- Participation in training programmes organised by Octopus, the regional music federation of Occitanie. Topophone gives training sessions on the subject of Music education project management. These training programmes aim at musicians heading to become professionals and who are willing to be involved in music education projects. Topophone also participates in meetings or classes organised by music schools and professional music institutes.

5- Management of an Erasmus+ (KA2) project since January 2020. Common training sessions are organised between organisations from 3 countries : France, Estonia and Finland. The organisations face and exchange different working methods, as they are all working in the music education field. This improves every organisation's skills and actions towards children in difficulty.

The common aims of these actions are :
- using music as a tool for education, social inclusion and diversity
- making music-playing more accessible to children in difficulty

Since it was created Topophone has achieved :
- 200 musical creation projects taking place in schools or specialised establishments
- 50 concerts for youth audiences, involving local artists, as part of music and education events
- personalised support for 90 children willing to extend their music education
- participation in 12 training programmes / sessions

Topophone has received various certifications and labels:
- "Jeunesse & Education Populaire"
- "Organisme d'Accueil de Volontaires en Service Civique" since 2019
- Individual certifications from the Inspection Académique for the music teachers working at Topophone
