English: Our organisation named "Jugendbildungsstätte LidiceHaus gGmbH" in Bremen/Germany consists of two different facilities: a youth educational center and a downtown location that is primarily dedicated to consulting. Both facilities host office spaces for administrative and educational staff members. The educational team is currently made up of 8 people working at the center and 14 people working in the downtown office spaces. We are all youth workers in one way or another, coming from different fields such as social work, anthropology, peace and conflict studies or journalism.

The youth educational centre "LidiceHaus" (www.lidicehaus.de) is located in the recreational area "Stadtwerder": surrounded by green, sports fields and the lake ,,Werdersee’’ and yet only 2km away from downtown. The house offers the best conditions for holding seminars and other educational events. It has seven seminar and conference rooms and offers overnight accommodation for about 80 people.

The downtown location hosts a range of educational projects as well as the "ServiceBureau Jugendinformation" (www.servicebureau.de). This office will be the main anchor point for our volunteer(s). Its fields of work are international youth work, (digital) media literacy and youth information. We function as the regional "Eurodesk" office, offering mobility counselling for young people and youth workers.

With our youth and educational work we support a solidary and equitable society. Our work stands for a culture of recognition and the appreciation of diversity. Remembering for the future and dealing with historical as well as current anti-democratic and authoritarian developments makes up the core of our educational and advisory work. Our aim is to develop democratic forms of life and participation together. We encourage young people to trust the effectiveness of their own actions and to make their voice heard in democratic processes.

Deutsch: Unsere Organisation mit dem Namen ""Jugendbildungsstätte LidiceHaus gGmbH" ist in Bremen ansässig. Wir haben zwei Standorte: eine Jugendbildungsstätte und eine Einrichtung in der Innenstadt, die primär der Beratungsarbeit gewidmet ist. Beide Einrichtungen verfügen über Büroräume für das Verwaltungs- und Bildungsteam. Das Bildungsteam setzt sich derzeit aus 8 Personen in der Bildungsstätte sowie 14 Personen in der Innenstadt zusammen. Wir sind alle Jugendbildungsreferent*innen mit Ausbildungen in ganz unterschiedlichen Bereichen wie Soziale Arbeit, Antropologie, Friedens- und Konfliktforschung oder Journalismus.

Die Jugenbildungsstätte "LidiceHaus" (www.lidicehaus.de) befindet sich in dem Naherholungsgebiet Stadtwerder: umgeben von Grünflächen, Sportanlagen und dem Werdersee und gleichzeitig nur 2 KM von der Innenstadt entfernt. Das Haus bietet optimale Bedingungen für Seminare und andere Bildungsveranstaltungen. Es verfügt über 7 Seminar- und Besprechungsräume und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten für ca. 80 Personen.

Der Standort in der Innenstadt beherbergt eine Reihe von Bildungsprojekten sowie das "ServiceBureau Jugendinformation" (www.servicebureau.de). Dieses Büro wird der Hauptankerpunkt für unsere/n Freiwillige/n sein. Die Arbeitsbereiche des ServiceBureaus sind Internationale Jugendarbeit, (digitale) Medienpädaogik und Jugendinformation. Wir sind die regionale Eurodesk-Servicestelle und bieten Mobilitätsberatung für junge Menschen und Fachkräfte an.

Wir unterstützen mit unserer Jugend- und Bildungsarbeit eine solidarische und gerechte Gesellschaft. Wir stehen mit unserer Arbeit für eine Kultur der Anerkennung und Wertschätzung von Vielfalt. Erinnern für die Zukunft sowie die Auseinandersetzung mit der Geschichte und mit aktuellen anti-demokratischen und autoritären Entwicklungen bilden den Kern unserer Bildungs- und Beratungsarbeit. Dabei ist unser Ziel, demokratische Lebens- und Beteiligungsformen gemeinsam zu entwickeln. Wir ermutigen junge Menschen, der Wirksamkeit des eigenen Handelns zu vertrauen und sich mit ihrer Stimme in demokratischen Prozessen Gehör zu verschaffen.
