Opis organizacije

The so-called “Landesjugendreferat” is a department of the "Amt der burgenländischen Landesregierung". Therefore it is a part of the government of the state Burgenland in Austria. The “Landesjugendreferat”, shortened "LJR", is responsible for the youth work in Burgenland. In that field, they are responsible for extracurricular youth work as well as for a number of projects in collaboration with of schools.
The target group of the LJR is between 12 and 30 years.
The team oft the LJR consists of six employees, two of them will be in charge of the Erasmus+ programmes.
Besides of the encouragement of international exchanges, intercultural understanding and the positive reinforcement of the values of humanity and tolerance, the LJR supports a rise of civic and democratic awareness and participation. Furthermore the LJR promotes the creativity of the target group with a variety of artistic and musical competitions as well as speech contests and sports activities.
Another priority of the LJR is the prevention of and support in cases of youth unemployment and the finding of solutions regarding social disadvantaged.
Finally yet importantly, one of the main targets of the LJR is to inform the public about the importance of topics regarding our youth.
