A szervezet leírása

Based in Morroc since 2004, the association "Les enfants de l'Ovale Maroc" (EDOM) supports children to grow up in better healthy and social conditions. In order to achieve this ambition, a group of people had the idea to use the rugby as a basis for human value sharing. By positionning this sport in the core of its activities, the association managed to convince the parents of the small village where it is settled, to let their children visit us.

Starting from scratch, a secure space of 25 000 m2 was created and a staff was setup for welcoming 300 children aged between 6 and 16 year old.
In this area, a rugby playground with a wonderful green grass, 4 locker rooms equipped with hot water (using solar pannels) showers, a classroom, a library, a professionnally equiped kitchen and even a stage for theatre has been built, only dedicated to these children.
The material is in place, and the association can then activate its two pillars:
- Rugby: to help children develop their bodies, and also to acquire human values brought by sport: respect of others, of themselves, of rules, of the environment,... The EDOM regularly organizes rugby tournaments, inside and outside, with local associations so that the children can evolve as one team
- Social and educative support: a dedicated team of teachers supports the children in their homework, regularly organize sensibilization campaigns on hygien, importance of ecology, ...

Any child can now borrow a book in the internal library (more than 2000 references!) and bring it at home.
Thanks to this assocation, many children discovered the sea, moved in their country, competed against other teams, won games, lost games.
In one word, they learnt to become young adults.
