Organizacijos aprašas

Kindergarten No. 5 in Lębork consists of 6 groups. Our children are from 3 to 6 years old, there are 160 of them. 12 teachers work here.
Our kindergarten focuses on the comprehensive development of a child. The main assumptions of the kindergarten's work include creating safe conditions for play and education, taking into account the individual needs, possibilities and interests of children, developing social competences, promoting care for health, building regional, national and European identity, achieving by the child readiness to start education at school, fulfilling a supporting role towards parents.
Children enjoy the large garden surrounding our kindergarten. There, teachers organize plays and sports games. During the year, we are visited by a theater that brings the world of culture closer to children. Numerous trips are organized in the vicinity (Museum of the City of Lębork, city park, cinema, library), as well as trips to Gdynia, Gdańsk or Słupsk (ZOO, theater, cinema, Experyment Science Center). In the afternoons, children have the opportunity to take part in additional activities that develop their interests and skills (dancing, art, coding, cooking). Children participate in rhythmic classes once a week. Our kindergarten has a piano, the sounds of which children love! There is also a multimedia board in the kindergarten, which is used during classes lessons, where children are gradually introduced to the SCRATCH JUNIOR program. There are also robotics classes once a week, where children put together and program robots.
Children also participate in English classes. The teacher introduces children to the language and culture in a friendly way - through playing, singing, dancing, reading fairy tales, etc.
In previous years, our kindergarten hosted volunteers from Thailand and Mexico, as part of cooperation with the AIESEC youth organization.
We worked very well with them, they and the children were delighted. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know different cultures, languages, also games for children from other countries. The involvement of the volunteers was warmly welcomed by children and their parents. Volunteers participated in the activities and games of children, made contact with parents who provided them leisure activities outside the kindergarten by learning about the culture of our city and our region, including visits to museums, theaters, cinemas, parks, etc.
