Youth Active Minds (YAM) is a Non Governamental Organisation, created by educators who want to take an active role in local initiatives that address important social issues. Our aim is to organize educational, environmental and sustainability actions using non-formal education, with the help of local communities, Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.
Our goal is to activate young people, and generally people with a youthful spirit, open mind and generous heart in matters concerning:
-environment and sustainable mobility
-education - mobilization
-sciences and new technologies
-volunteering - mobility of young people
-integration - social equality
-culture and arts.
We believe that life finds meaning only in responsibility, cooperation, solidarity and love. YAM has been active in the field of sustainable mobility, nature and education since its inception. The vision of our organization is to make young people be the change they want to see in the world. The mission of our organization is to empower and equip young people with the necessary tools, competences and skills for the future. We strive for information dissemination in order to enable youth to be fully and immediately aware of existing educational opportunities around the world, to be able to participate equally in them, to be active citizens and to acquire the skills required for the future. We educate youth and we build the capacity for them to actively participate in the implementation of the sustainable development goals, to be empowered to become changemakers and collaborators, in order to acquire the necessary skills for the 21st century, thus contributing decisively to solving social problems and to respect other cultures.
