The Croatian Office for Creativity and Innovation (HUKI) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in
2015 as an international organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial culture and education on creative and
innovative approaches to addressing real challenges in local communities. HUKI has many projects that focus on a
variety of target groups, including children, youth, civil society, local communities and business organizations with the
main goal of empowering and encouraging individuals to develop personally to reach their full potential and develop an
inclusive, creative and innovative society.

The largest projects and programs implemented by HUKI are:
LEAP program - a program aimed at young people aged 18 to 30 that brings together more than 5,000 young people a
year through various specialized projects: LEAP Summit, LEAPin, LEAP Women, LEAP weekly, LEAP MeetMe, LEAP
workshops, LEAP MeetUp, LEAP entrepreneurial program. The LEAP Summit is also the largest international youth
conference in Southeast Europe, ZABUM program - is a unique program for adolescents and young people launched by the UNICEF Office for Croatia,
and implemented by HUKI through the innovation laboratory for young people. The Innovation Laboratory for Youth is
part of a global UNICEF initiative launched in 2010, which aims to empower young people and provide them with the
opportunity to participate and create positive change in society. Through various program activities (UPSHIFT workshops,
Hackathon, MeetUp gatherings, etc.) ZABUM young people from all over Croatia have the opportunity to improve and
adopt skills that will help them be informed, independent, and engaged citizens. The ZABUM program provides young
people with space, opportunities, and tools for active participation in the community in which they live and encourages
them to work together on solutions that will make life in the community better and better.
Digital Literacy - a project that aims to contribute to the digital literacy of general citizens. The project consists of a series
of specialized workshops, lectures, and panel discussions on topics related to STEM, the digital environment, and digital
skills. Workshops are held throughout the year, with a special focus on the period during European Code Week. The
workshops target different groups of general citizens.
The organization also organizes various specialized workshops, conferences, seminars, and gatherings aimed at
education on entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, digital skills, and relevant youth skills.

In 2018, the organization is awarded the European Citizen Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Promoting Better
Understanding and Integration among the Member States and Facilitating Cross-Border and Transnational Cooperation
within the European Union. Currently, the Croatian Office for Creativity and Innovation has five full-time employees and
more than 50 members and volunteers working on various projects. Accreditation fits perfectly into our short-term
development strategy. One of the strategic goals of our development strategy is: Development and implementation of
non-formal learning and education of children, youth, and general citizens. We plan to achieve this goal through specific
goals: Development and implementation of non-formal education and lifelong learning programs and Development of
volunteering. European Solidarity Corps are a perfect match for meeting these goals, as we plan to implement non-formal
education programs with foreign volunteers, and by hosting volunteers we will further promote volunteering and develop
the same within our organization and the local environment.
