The "ProBudnik” Association is a non-governmental, independent and voluntary organization registered under the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act, which carries out its activity in public benefit and in compliance with the provisions of the Bulgarian legislation.
One of the main goals of the association is to develop, implement and sustain innovative models, mechanisms and formats for lifelong learning and to support groups of people of different ages in the context of their civic education and awareness, personal and professional development and realization, and encouraging their participation in the social processes and socio-economic life of Bulgaria and in the European context.
Through its activity and the experience of its members, the association strives to explore, analyze and represent the interests and needs of different age groups in Bulgaria. Through wide-ranging initiatives and campaigns, the association is committed to promoting youth inclusion in national, regional and local policies, involving young people and adults in the decision-making process on issues at municipal, regional and national levels.
Priority in the work of the association are people in social exclusion, with limited opportunities or difficulties of a different nature, which impede their personal and professional development in the socio-economic life and their opportunities for full access to information and services. Particular attention is paid to educational initiatives and activities that provoke and support the personal motivation of the target groups to change their attitudes towards their own opportunities and chances of full realization and to increase their confidence in their own strength
The Association actively and purposefully conducts surveys and analysis of the needs and requirements of different target groups, the results of which are effectively applied in the development of interventions in order to meet the identified needs, as well as to assist the processes of solving specific problems of the surveyed communities.
The team has also specialized in developing educational tools based on interactive methods and techniques for informal and nonformal education. Authorized materials (manuals, guides, group and individual work papers, questionnaires and assessment and self-assessment, etc.) were developed, focusing on personal development and career guidance and counseling.
The “ProBudnik” Association determines its capacity to implement this project with the experience and motivation of its members and supporters who actively participate in all the activities of the organization and make a significant contribution to achieving high and effective results.
The Association is a union of motivated people, professionals and experts from different fields who have actively worked and gained experience in the state administration or the non-governmental sphere in Bulgaria and abroad and with sufficient knowledge of the current needs, deficits and problems of the target groups that are in the focus of the project.
Each member of the team has expertise in a different field - formal and non-formal education; social assistance; children, young people and elderly people at risk – violence victims and socially excluded people for instants; personal and professional guidance, counseling and development; This ensures not only the adequate knowledge of the problems of the target groups of the project but also the effectiveness of the solutions that will be proposed in response to the identified needs.
Since its establishment, ProBudnik has been working to build a partnership network that is already a reality and is actively communicating with organizations in the country and Europe with similar goals and activities to share experiences and good practices, transfer ideas and educational tools, to implement joint initiatives on issues that are relevant to everyday life, as well as to exchange professionals and experts.
The association regularly organizes forums for personal and professional development and promotes non-formal education. For the past two years, more than 250 target group members have been offered training, individual counseling, career guidance, or analysis of educational opportunities and needs have been reached through different activities, thus giving participants the chance to acquire new skills and take adequate solutions for your own life and realization. These and other activities that have been realized to date, give us the confidence that we can build on the organization's experience and implement other projects aimed at improving the quality of life of all members of Bulgarian society, regardless of education, gender, ethnicity, religion, economic and social differences and other characteristics of small and large communities in the country.
In our main activities, we apply effective and practical methods of teaching - nonformal teaching.
