Fedasil is the state agency for the asylum seekers in Belgium. The agency provides material help (organized by centres) for asylum seekers and organized directly and with partners a reception and accompaniment of quality.

The reception centre for asylum seekers in Rixensart is a place of accommodation that mainly hosts families, on temporary stay, waiting for a regularization of their situation. The centre has 45 staff and about 60 volunteers.

Services such as social, medical, reception, animation, logistic, school/training, provide supervision of the residents all along their stay in the centre. The centre is also hosting 30 female unaccompanied minors supervised by a team of educators and social workers. This service is specialized in the reception of young mothers or pregnant girls and a nursery welcome babies and young children to encourage the girls to continue their schooling.
