REGULAR ACTIVITIES
All our activities are residential stays (except for the drawing workshop organized every Saturday). We offer :
- School trips for 1 to 5 days for preschools, elementary and secondary schools. There are different topics possible, e.g. circus classes, philosophy classes (or philosophy and photography), nature classes (awakening to the silence of the forest) ;

- Holiday camps, which welcome children and youngsters from every horizons for 5 to 10 days stays. The camps form the basis of our projects. Each camp is unique. They enable to implement our educational project and encourage meetings and community life. Examples of camps are : circus camp, stars and philosophy camp, (horse-drawn) caravan camp, Robinson camp (where the group builds or renovates the huts from the « Village en Bois », a wooden village made up and built by generations of children), machines, dreams and wonders camp (where the group imagines and creates amazing objects), wooden toys camp, Peter Pan camp, troubadour camp, choir camp, awakening to the silence of the forest camp.

- Choir week-ends : 6-7 week-ends during one year, that lead to a final concert, where each child and younster’s skills are hightlight (whether they are singing – alone or in chorus, playing a music instrument,…). The songs are mainly the creation of the youngsters and leaders, supervised by a choirmaster. Here is a video made with one of the choir’s songs, during the « choir camp » 2018, that gathered 100 children and youngsters from the choir as well as 12 from the reception center for asylumseekers of Rendeux: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlFtMBjXQiA

We also host in our infrastructure independant groups of young people. We stay available to assist them during their stay.

TARGET GROUPS
Our public is mainly made up of children and teenagers coming from all over Wallonia, Brussels and, to a lesser extent, Flanders or other countries.
The camps target children from 4 to 13 y.o.
Young people from 14 y.o. on take part as pre-leaders. Most of them took part to the camps as children before and wish to stay involved at Ecole de Clerheid. Between 14 and 18 y.o., they are trained. At 18 y.o., they are considered as activity leaders. Young adults and a few parents take part to the camps as volunteer leaders.
The choir targets youngsters from 7 to 16 y.o.
Those activities are organized according to the principle of verticality : the groups mix different ages.

To our « outdoor classes » come elementary schools, secondary schools and, more rarely, teacher training colleges. Schools using active pedagogy choose Ecole de Clerheid for school trips which aim at changing of scenery.

The drawing workshop and the choir week-ends target mainly youngsters from the close municipalities.

Our groups are socially and culturally mixed.
If 80% of the children/youngsters come from quite advantaged backgrounds, we pay close attention to stay affordable for each purse and also welcome children/youngsters coming through associations or from youth care social services or reception centers for asylumseekers.
Some young people from Flanders or from other countries (France, Sweden, UK, Italy… and, the last years, USA, Israël, Lebanon, Senegal, Marocco, Taïwan…) also take part in our camps.
