Progetto Giovani is a non-profit social promotion association established in 2001 that promotes social solidarity by carrying out its activities in the sector of social promotion, socio-health, research, training / higher education, culture, social tourism, national and international cooperation also towards young people with fewer opportunities. In fact, the Association is concerned with ensuring the promotion of social inclusion and equal opportunities, in particular with regard to the participation of young people with fewer opportunities, through a series of special measures, such as personalised support; carry out activities aimed at disadvantaged people to respond to their needs and desires; offer services, solutions and innovations to develop their educational, linguistic, professional, digital, cultural, emotional, social skills through life experience; promote active citizenship, employability and the transition to the labor market,
through mobility for volunteering, internships and work; contribute to European cooperation on relevant issues to young people, increasing their awareness of its positive impact. It has also been involved in supporting and promoting the cultural, social, professional and emotional development of its users, and in particular young people, also through the management of training projects on mobility for the following targets: young people, students, teachers and trainers in the education, the disabled, the unemployed, people looking for their first job, people who for personal reasons / career choice need to increase their knowledge and develop it.
All the activities above will allow the specific target groups involved to: have learning experiences in other places and contexts other than their own, thanks to the chance that they have to learn through different ways of working and / or living at an international level; strengthen personal and professional development through mobility activities for non-formal and informal learning purposes; promote emancipation, active citizenship and participation in democratic life. Activities that will contribute to: promoting inclusion and diversity, intercultural dialogue, European cooperation and the values of solidarity, equal opportunities and human rights among young people in Europe; to increase, in each of the subjects involved, their professional and digital knowledge, language level, emotional skills, social skills and cultural knowledge; foster European cooperation on issues relevant to young people, increasing their awareness of its positive impact.
The project activities have also stimulated processes of innovation, improvement and change in a European dimension, promoted the European cultural heritage as a social and educational value and have contributed to the development of the skills / competences of organisations active in the youth field also through the support of the educational and professional development of youth workers, enabling them to meet the most demanding standards and to be ready for qualified employment and / or independent living.
The Association has conceived, promoted and implemented intercultural exchange projects; activities for minors and young people; activities in the social inclusion promotion and equal opportunities areas, easy-to-access solidarity activities that contribute to positive change in society by improving their skills and competences for personal, educational, social, civic and professional development, as well as active citizenship, employability and transition to the labor market, through mobility for volunteering, internships and work; as an Employment Agency (APL), our activities aimed at the employment and entrepreneurial development of young people, including disabled people, such as job orientation, business start-up, business organisation, needs analysis, etc. .
It manages services located in different national territories, collaborating with many municipalities, with middle and high schools and vocational training centres also for the severely disabled and collaborates with the social services of various Italian municipalities.
Furthermore, the Association has stable partnerships with some Italian universities (UNIPA, UNIECAMPUS, UNIPEGASO), it is also registered as a private research organisation in the National Research Registry of the Ministry of Education, University and Research and is authorised to issue the "EIPASS-European Informatics Passport" and "ID Cert-International Digital Certification" certifications in the EU.
