Kuruluşun tanımı

The Slovenian Youth Agency (SLOAM) is the juncture between young people, non-governmental organizations, public institutions and companies. Through the development and implementation of programs and regular communication, we encourage young people into active citizenship and social responsibility and enable their personal growth.

The mission of SLOAM, Youth Agency, is entirely aimed at the young population between 12 and 30 years of age.

With our activities for young people, we are aiming at active participation of young people and raising awareness of young people on various topics: health, interculturalism, mobility and future of young people in the EU, environmental issues, projects for young people, etc.
Civil society builds bridges between citizens and authorities and has a major role in democratization, development processes and inclusion. We are advocating and promoting solutions to as local and regional as national challenges, working jointly with government on the one hand and individual stakeholders on the other. We have a valuable capacity for dialogue, advocacy, active participation, and placing emphasis on the prospects for youth. We, as young people ourselves, believe that we are powerful agents of change within our communities and our capacity to influence through peer-to-peer information sharing and collaboration are a driver of social change. As SLOAM, Slovenian Youth Agency, we play the liaison role in the civil society by giving knowledge, support, motivation, engagement and representing diverse young voices.

We accomplish our mission through the European Youth Cards program, by informing in our own media, developing a network of discounts and benefits in Slovenia and Europe, carrying out our own and coordinating international activities and projects, conducting workshops and conducting research.

With our activities for young people, we are aiming at active participation of young people and raising awareness of young people on various topics: health, interculturalism, mobility and future of young people in the EU, environmental issues, projects for young people, etc.

Our focus is youth mobility and informing young people about different opportunities. We have extensive experience in this field since this is our aim as well as our day to day work. In the EYCA programme we have over 137.000 members and communicate with them on a regular basis through our app, webpage, Instagram, Facebook and more. We also employ youth workers who prepare and disseminate information that young people want or need. We are partners of two main universities in Slovenia (University of Ljubljana, University of Primorska). We also work closely with many student clubs across Slovenia. We have a large network of partners with whom we constantly either communicate or closely work with.

We inform young people, advise them, carry out educational projects, informally educate young people to work with young people, and offer various mobility opportunities in Slovenia and abroad. We do all this with the aim of providing better conditions for living, working and creating of the youth.
We are fulfilling our mission with the European Youth Cards programme, which we updated in 2016, while rejuvenating the group that manages the organization. With this we gained new impetus and trust from our partners, and above all our main target group - young people. The European Youth Card serves as a liaison tool between the state, the private sector, youth and youth organizations.
We also constantly pursuing our strategy, together with partners from the European Youth Card Association (EYCA), to transform the youth card into a socially responsible tool. It offers various benefits to young people and, on the other hand, works in larger initiatives of youth organizations and youth organizations to assist in their development.

At SLOAM, we want to help young people develop their skills, as we are aware that during this period of their lives, they are most susceptible to personal growth and the development of skills that will most benefit them later
