LUG OPEN FACTORY is an integral project for Galicia based on creativity: a response to the marginalization of the arts and creative matters in all areas and with special attention to the audiovisual world and the creation of prototypes with new technologies. It is also a Youth Service and development of a model to support the creation of social and creative enterprises in new environments through the empowerment of young people to present solutions to the social problems of the future. Our center is based on a model common to four European countries through the Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs project, a transnational agglutinator of creative youth experiences. We present an open, different space, where many things can be done, and with a very active program that can be configured to the needs of young people.

The LUG OPEN FACTORY has experience in cooperation and networking, thanks to its coworking space with more than 12 assigned companies from different fields of expertise. He also has deep experience with young people through the realization of different types of non-formal education activities through workshops, trainings and activities (local jams, transnational jams, Design Thinking, etc.) For his collaboration with the Atlantic Project Youth Creative Hubs. , the LOF also has experience with transnational youth groups, the use of new technologies through its own FabLab (3D printing, laser cutting, podcasting, filming and photography). The association also has extensive experience in carrying out and managing activities for young people. As a multidisciplinary center, the LOF has developed activities acting as a free time school; volunteer camp management.

The LUG OPEN FACTORY also has experience in the environmental field creating opportunities for the management of natural resources in relation to climate change and youth, with special attention to rural projects.

With all this, the main motivations are:

- Bring our non-formal education and entrepreneurship project closer to youth.
- Create opportunities in the rural world through our project.
- Open the window of the young people of Lugo to the opportunities that Europe offers.
