beschrijving van de organisatie

The Hungarian Reformed Church Aid is a charitable organisation with a Reformed background, based on Christian values, which has been operating since 2006. Regardless of gender, religion or political affiliation, the aid provides assistance to people in need. Every year, tens of thousands of children and families in difficult circumstances rely on the charity for social assistance, development and care.
The Hungarian Reformed Church Aid has been involved in national and international emergency response since 2008 and in 2019 a professional team has been set up, the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid Search and Rescue Team. It was necessary because in recent years our continent has been hit more and more regularly by emergencies - whether flash floods, storm damage or epidemics - where volunteers with the right skills and expertise are needed.
The Search and Rescue Team is committed to helping those in need in times of disaster, both at home and beyond our borders. In the event of an emergency, the team, under the coordination of the Budapest Rescue Service, can provide assistance in the following areas: flood protection, evacuation, resettlement and care of the population, operation of temporary shelters, relief and technical rescue. In addition, our team participates in dog rescue missions and missing persons searches, we can provide emergency primary care at disaster sites and we also assist as an intervention volunteer fire brigade.
