The Körperbehinderten-Verein Stuttgart e.V. (KBV) was founded in 1964 by parents of children with disabilities. The association's goals are social participation, self-determined living and equality of people with and without disabilities. Another goal of our commitment is that the people in Stuttgart, the politicians, the citizens, old and young, perceive their fellow human beings with disabilities and approach them. The Körperbehinderten-Verein Stuttgart e.V. is a carrier with services mainly in the outpatient area, which are especially directed at people with physical and severe multiple disabilities of different ages. The used support varies, for example, between participation once a year in a one-week vacation care or sporadically a few hours a month in one of the offers in the area of leisure activities up to an assistance in all areas of life over 24 hours on 365 days a year. We offer services in our areas of day support center for severely multiply disabled adults, driving service for people with disabilities, leisure and youth club services, family support services, assistance service at the municipal Margarete Steiff School for the physically disabled and outpatient assisted living for people with disabilities.KBV Stuttgart employs a total of 51 pedagogical and nursing professionals, 26 semi-skilled employees, 5 apprentices and approx. 40 young people in the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD), in the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and in internships.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
