Union Régionale REMPART Grand Est

The Union Régionale REMPART Grand Est is a member of REMPART, a national union of 200 local associations that preserve and promote heritage throughout France and beyond. These associations are working on a very wide range of historical sites. Most of them organise volunteer camps or training courses to offer heritage restoration projects to everybody. More than 3.500 French and foreign volunteers are involved each year in its activities. To carry out its mission, REMPART brings together local and regional associations who have chosen to unite to share their experiences and strongly promote their common values. Each association was created around a project to safeguard, enhance and animate a heritage site, in a dynamic of popular education and local development.
In order to facilitate and coordinate an efficient network between its member associations, REMPART has structured itself into a National Delegation and regional unions. Our Union aims to promote, develop and coordinate the activities of its 18 associations among Grand-Est region. Ours objectives : the animation and development of our network of associations, the development of volunteer camps, the development of actions aimed for remote populations, organization of trainings. Our activity is open to everyone without any conditions. We promote social, cultural and intergenerational diversity, and have a strong wish in opening to other cultures and our European neighbours, hence our involvement in REMPART’s ESC project
