Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Kindergarten of the Education Academy „Little Ones Academy“ is established in modern specially adapted facilities for children. It is a modern and innovative institution that develops education to meet the needs of the 21st century child. The education, which is based on world innovations and child-centred is organised by competent teachers, supported by VMU Academy of Education lecturers and students.
Our aim is to create learning environments, situations and opportunities based on the children's learning culture and the partnership between families and educators, in order to produce curious, creative, healthy, sociable and successful children.
The educational process is planned in accordance with the following educational orientations, the principles and ideas of which guide us: Stream education; Sustainable development; Contextual education; Reggio Emilia; Play. It is very important for us to encourage children's initiative and curiosity, and to involve them in a wide range of experiential educational activities. To develop exploration, creativity and problem-solving skills. To foster values, civic and ethno-cultural awareness.
The kindergarten has 4 groups of children of different ages (3 Lithuanian, 1 Ukrainian child war refugee group):
I (group of children aged 2-3);
II (group of children aged 3-4);
III (group of children aged 5-6);
IV (group of Ukrainian children aged 3-6)
