The objective pursued by the social center of Biarritz is to promote the achievement of individual and collective dynamics, by providing to the greatest number the means to carry out projects and engage socially. It works closely with partners to be part of the territorial coherence. The team of the social center is composed of 12 employees and fifty volunteers. The social centre has nearly 600 members aged 0 to 99 years old.
The social center encourages the participation of all in the choice and organization of activities.
The children’s pole: recreation centers for children from 3 to 5 and from 6 to 10 years old (on Wednesdays and holidays) as well as an educational support system for elementary school children on Thrusday evening.
The youth pole : a space for teenagers opened every day from Mondays to Saturdays where teenagers from 11 to 17 years old are welcomed to discuss, exchange, find a support with animators, do their homework, take part in outings, activities and stays and develop individual or collective projects and the city’s animators.
The family pole: a parent-child reception area for children from 0 to 3 years old on Tuesday mornings, an individual coaching, collective projects, outings all year round and information time on parenting , a social and family economy advisor.
The senior pole: the senior area offers a quarterly outings program in order to create links and break the isolation of our seniors
