Diyarbakir is one of the attraction centers of Türkiye with its history dating back to 3 thousand BC, its multicultural social life, tourism potential, easy and comfortable transportation. Diyarbakır which has hosted the earliest civilizations of the world; has preserved the cultural, social, folkloric and religious characteristics of every civilization with tolerance. This rich heritage has made it the most popular destination. Another factor that makes the city attractive is Dicle University (DU).DU is a large educational institution that provides education to students with its 4 graduate institutes, 17 faculties,3 schools,12 vocational schools and 1 state conservatory. Also, DU organizes programmes suitable for the needs of city/region, with its Continuing Education Center and Distance Education Center.
DU is successfully carrying out KA103-131-HED projects since 2004 under the coordination of International Relations Office. Since 2018, KA107-171-HED projects have also started to be carried out. Periodically, KA152-YOU trainings are given. 9 KA152-YOU projects were prepared and carried out by student clubs. To increase student mobility and give them new experiences, DU also applied for KA150 in 2022.
DU will be one of the leading institutions in the field of youth with its technical and human sources, qualified staff, experience in preparing and executing projects with international partners, reliable image and wide international partnership network.
