Education for Change (Edukimi për Ndryshim) is a non-profit, non-partisan centre based in Tirana, Albania (est. 2024). Our aim is to improve people’s lives through positive educational, social, environmental, and democratic change—so that every child and young person learns in a safe, inclusive environment and can participate meaningfully in community life. We align our work with the UN SDGs and national priorities for youth, education, and social inclusion. Our main activities combine learning and action: school and community workshops; youth leadership and creativity labs; mentoring for teachers and youth workers; awareness campaigns on inclusion, anti-violence and safeguarding; digital/media literacy; environmental education; and heritage-based community projects. We also provide simple toolkits, referral and safeguarding protocols, and results-based monitoring to help partners sustain activities beyond projects.

Our target groups are young people (18+) especially those with fewer opportunities teachers and youth workers, and families/communities in cooperation with schools, municipalities, and civil society organizations. We create accessible, respectful opportunities for youth to learn new skills, co-create local solutions, and build civic engagement locally in Tirana/Durrës and, through partnerships, across Albania.
