The town of Teulat, with 550 inhabitants, is located just 30 minutes from Toulouse. Teulat is bustling with projects aimed at creating social ties among its residents, revitalizing its town center, and safeguarding the environment. Despite its agricultural roots, Teulat maintains a rural charm to this day. However, it boasts a vibrant community life, with numerous festivals and municipal events throughout the year. In recent years, Teulat has seen an influx of young families joining the existing neo-rural population and farmers, injecting new energy into the town. Local producers have established businesses, and the municipality has introduced a market and a participatory grocery store. The town hall, which will host European civic services in partnership with Concordia, is open daily (except weekends). The Mayor regularly meets with young people to discuss major municipal and environmental projects, and engages with the local school, children, and teaching staff. Visits to the commune and municipal buildings are planned to help visitors understand the various missions, with a focus on sustainable development, climate change mitigation efforts, and community participation. The aim is to enhance communication with residents and the wider territory, as well as to involve them in the development of public spaces such as the century-old park and the creation of new areas like a green theater.
