Beschrijving van de organisatie

We are a sports club based in Leipzig with around 700 members across nine different sports. Our main focus is Judo, with more than 450 active Judoka. In addition, we run a large pre-school sports programme and offer adult fitness activities, especially for parents of our young athletes. As a sports club, our primary mission is to promote sport and physical activity. We also place great value on teaching social and educational principles that are part of our club’s philosophy, which is publicly available on our website. Judo is our central discipline, offered both as recreational and performance-oriented sport. We cooperate with eleven schools in Leipzig to provide regular training programmes for children and young people. We are also an officially recognised “Integration through Sport” support centre, using sport as a tool to promote inclusion and community cohesion. In the field of Judo, we are one of the largest clubs in the region and the largest Judo club in Central Germany.
