MAFA Academy is a youth-focused non-profit organisation based in Georgia, working to increase the participation of young people in international education, mobility, and civic engagement programmes. Our main aim is to support young people from rural and mountainous areas, small municipalities, and underrepresented communities, including ethnic minorities, by improving their access to learning opportunities, digital skills, and European youth programmes such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. We have long-term experience in youth work and non-formal education, developed initially as a municipal youth initiative group and later formalised as an organisation. Our core activities include organising trainings, workshops, public lectures, youth exchanges, and university-level educational projects, such as debate championships, Model United Nations, Model European Union, and thematic discussion sessions on democracy, human rights, and civic participation. MAFA Academy also works with digital innovation and emerging fields, including digital activism, artificial intelligence awareness, and electronic sports (esports) as tools for social inclusion, teamwork, and youth engagement.
