Mardin Artuklu University, established in 2009 in the ancient city of Mardin, is a dynamic higher education institution located in southeastern Turkey, aiming to combine local cultural heritage with universal academic standards. Its mission is to educate innovative, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious individuals while contributing to cultural, scientific, and artistic knowledge through original research. The university offers a wide range of programs in humanities, fine arts, architecture, economics, engineering, education, theology, and tourism, and is internationally recognized for pioneering language and cultural studies, including Kurdish, Zaza, and Syriac. With dedicated research centers on coexistence, women and family, Palestine and Jerusalem studies, city studies, and lifelong learning, it actively fosters interdisciplinary knowledge and social engagement.
