Deskrizzjoni tal-Organizzazzjoni

Mardin Artuklu University, established in 2009 in the ancient city of Mardin, is a dynamic higher education institution located in southeastern Turkey, aiming to combine local cultural heritage with universal academic standards. Its mission is to educate innovative, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious individuals while contributing to cultural, scientific, and artistic knowledge through original research. The university offers a wide range of programs in humanities, fine arts, architecture, economics, engineering, education, theology, and tourism, and is internationally recognized for pioneering language and cultural studies, including Kurdish, Zaza, and Syriac. With dedicated research centers on coexistence, women and family, Palestine and Jerusalem studies, city studies, and lifelong learning, it actively fosters interdisciplinary knowledge and social engagement. Beyond education, Mardin Artuklu University regularly organizes conferences, cultural events, and international collaborations, strengthening its role as both a regional anchor and a global connector. Its target groups include undergraduate and postgraduate students, scholars in language and cultural studies, local communities, and international academic partners. Through its inclusive and participatory ethos, the university contributes not only to the personal development of its students but also to the cultural and social development of the wider society.
