The youth service of Saint-Lô Agglo, identified under the name “Kiosk”, is a public service dedicated to young people aged 11 to 25. It delivers two main missions: Youth Information (Information Jeunesse – IJ): A local, accessible service providing young people aged 11 to 25 with general, free, reliable and impartial information covering all areas of their lives (health, employment, leisure, international mobility, housing, guidance and career orientation, etc.). The objective is to strengthen young people’s autonomy, their ability to make informed decisions, and their active engagement in society. Support for youth-led projects: The service supports individual and collective initiatives, encourages youth participation, creativity and initiative-taking, and promotes young people’s active involvement in the development of the local territory. Professionals are trained in listening skills, facilitation and project development. The structure works across the following thematic areas: media literacy, social inclusion, mental health, international mobility, youth participation, sustainable development, access to rights, and equal opportunities. Building on the Local Social and Educational Project (Projet Éducatif Social Local – PESL) of Saint-Lô Agglo, the service contributes to the social and professional inclusion of young people, while enhancing the attractiveness of the area through a cross-cutting educational approach and support for student life.
