Vršac Bridges & Petals
By celebrating Earth Day in anticipation of European Youth Week, our organization connects local activism with the EU Youth Goals, specifically Goal #10 – "Green Sustainable Europe." Our objective is to raise awareness among young people about the importance of urban water bodies and their role in climate change mitigation through an educational panel and a field workshop focused on the Vršac stream.
We focus on how these watercourses act as natural cooling systems and preserve biodiversity within our urban core. In addition to education, we promote sustainable recreation—cycling along the stream—as a direct contribution to a healthier lifestyle and the reduction of our carbon footprint.
Through this event, we demonstrate how local youth actions in Vršac contribute to global and European efforts for planetary conservation. We want to inspire young people to turn their passion for nature into active participation, directly supporting the vision of Europe as a climate-neutral continent. Join us in celebrating Earth Day and contributing to a greener future!
