On the 15th and 16th of August, you have the opportunity to meet other DiscoverEU travelers from all over Europe and discover the beautiful International City of Peace and Justice: The Hague! The Hague, or Den Haag, is a captivating city in the Netherlands renowned for its historical charm and international significance. With a rich blend of ancient and modern architecture, The Hague is home to the iconic Binnenhof complex, housing the Dutch Parliament and International Court of Justice. The Hague offers a compelling destination for sightseeing, art appreciation, and experiencing global diplomacy.

Programme

We start the day by picking you up from the station and travelling to the hostel. Make sure you are there before 12.00! Once at the hostel, we will have lunch and get to know each other. We take a moment to reflect on your trip – what have you done, seen and experienced so far?

We start discovering this country by checking out ALL our national highlights in ONE place. How, you ask? By visiting Madurodam, a miniature park that showcases scaled-down replicas of Dutch landmarks, historical buildings, and iconic sites! From windmills to Schiphol Airport, the park offers a captivating glimpse into Dutch heritage. You thought our country was small? Think again!

We will then stroll along the picturesque canals, visit historical buildings like Mauritshuis, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere in the lively squares and charming streets. With its international allure, stunning beaches, and a diverse culinary scene, The Hague invites you to discover its unique blend of tradition and modernity, making it a city that truly has something for everyone.

We will end the day with a dinner. In the evening you are free to roam the city yourself or with your newly found travel buddies!
