A night in a hammock on an island in the Oslofjord?
Spend the night in a hammock on one of the beautiful islands in the Oslofjord! On nice and sunny days, we osloites escape work and pilgrim out to the islands where we sometimes spend entire weekends sunbathing, swimming and barbecuing. Act like a local and spend the night at Langøyene.
The USE-IT Oslo info desk will provide you with a hammock, a sleeping bag, a meal for the trip and transportation ticket for the boat.
USE-IT stands for no-nonsense tourist information for young people. USE-IT maps are made by locals, are non commercial, free and up-to-date. This trip is inspired by the content in the USE-IT Oslo map with the purpose of getting to know Oslo from a local’s perspective.
Langøyene is the only island on which you can set up your tent or hammock and stay for the night. It’s also a great place to picnic, swim and play frisbee. In the summer, some of us osloites leave work early to enjoy the sun here . The short boat ride will also give you a nice breeze and the opportunity to get a unique view of the city, especially if you find a place to sit on the deck.
