'SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES' in Copenhagen

Sign up for three days experience in Copenhagen where we will guide you through the city’s beautiful spaces for community and sustainability <3 The program is from the 10th to 12th of august 2023 and include meals, sleeping spaces, public transport for FREE !!

We have room for 40 people, but the spaces are quickly filled, so sign up fast if you are interested!

DESCRIPTION: 

Occupied freetowns, community dinner and Copenhagen’s very own YOUTH ISLAND?! Experience Copenhagen in the summer, where music fill the streets, sun is out till late, and you can swim in the harbour almost everywhere. This city is buzzing with different communities that create spaces for youth culture, sustainability, political change and bring people together. On Thursday afternoon we will take you on a guided tour through Christiania - a freetown in Christianshavn that was squatted in 1971 and still flourishes as a town for alternative community living, cosy specialized shops and beautiful nature. Afterwards we will attend a real plant-based community dinner, along the locals, and stay in a hostel in the city center. The next day you will have time to explore the city on your own until we meet at world famous Nyhavn to sail to Copenhagen’s very own YOUTH ISLAND!! That’s right, we have a whole island dedicated to the youth. Here we will eat, have workshops about sustainable futures and do fun activities like swimming and laser tag. We will spend the night in sleeping dorms and have breakfast at the island before setting sail back to the city. 

The three days you will be guided and accompanied by Marie and Ida from GRO SELV. 

GRO SELV is a youth driven community making sustainability more fun and accessible for young people in Denmark. We collaborate with activists, artists and youth driven initiatives to promote greener living through recycling, plant based foods and experiencing the different seasons in local nature - but most importantly building up communities of people with a passion for sustainable praxis.
