300 young people from Europe and the South-Med region will participate in a virtual debate championship on 18-19 & 25-26 April

The second Online Euro-Med Debate Competition will bring together 40 debate teams from 15 different Euro-Mediterranean countries: Morocco, Spain, Algeria, Italy, Tunisia, Germany, Libya, Belgium, Egypt, Sweden, Palestine, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

Approximately 300 young people will be involved, including debaters, trainers and adjudicators. Debate discussion topics -suggested by the participants themselves- will be linked to the current global crisis, international health care systems, education, technology, etc. 

Online debates will take place on April 18 (Round 1), 19 (Round 2), 25 (1/8 finals & 1/4 finals) & 26 (Semi Finals & the Final Debate). 

The Online Euro-Med Debate Competition is organised by the Anna Lindh Foundation in the framework of the European Commission’s project Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange. The Foundation is a member of the project consortium, composed by: Search for Common Ground, UNIMED, Sharing Perspectives Foundation, Soliya, UNICollaboration, Kiron Open Higher Education, and Migration Matters.

Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange is part of the Erasmus+ programme, providing an accessible, ground-breaking way for young people to engage in intercultural learning. Working with Youth Organisations and Universities, the project is open to any young person aged 18-30 national or resident in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean.
