Join us online for the Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange closing event on 14 December, 2020

The Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange initiative was launched in 2018, with the aim to offer young people the opportunity to engage in an intercultural learning experience online. Three years later we have fascinating stories, experiences, and insights to share.

Join us online for a closing online event on 14 December, 2020 at 15.00 (CET)!

Virtual Exchange experts, educators, youth workers and university staff will announce findings, reflect on lessons learned and celebrate Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange achievements. The event will also give participants a space to talk about their experience with Virtual Exchange, personal achievements, and how they see themselves activating their new skills in the short and long term.

The session will start with a short presentation from project leaders, followed by a moderated panel discussion on the importance of Virtual Exchange with the participation of different project stakeholders. The event will finish with interventions from Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange alumni.

Event Agenda

15:00 – 15:30 Welcome remarks by Ms Charline Burton (Executive Director, Search for Common Ground), followed by the opening session “Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange: story and achievements”, with interventions from:

· Mr José Diez-Verdejo (Policy Officer, DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture): The project’s genesis

· Ms Waidehi Gokhale (CEO, Soliya): The implementation story

· Ms Florence Mondin (Head of Unit - Erasmus+: Platforms, Skills and Innovation – EACEA): Results and achievements

· Ms Francesca Helm (M&E Manager – Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange, UNICollaboration): The project’s impact

15:30 – 16:00 Panel discussion on the implementation of Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange activities by universities and youth organisations between Ms Anna Pratesi (International Relations Officer, University of Siena, Italy), Dr. Naouel Abdellatif (Vice-Rector, Setif 2 University, Algeria) and Ms Paula Bolaños (Youth Worker, ACSESO, Spain), moderated by Ms Ikram Ben Talha (Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange facilitator, Morocco). The discussion will be followed by a Q&A.

16:00 – 16:30 Panel discussion on participants’ experiences between Ms Sirine Ben Brahim (Debate Exchange Master Trainer, Tunisia), Ms Angelina Prins (Connect programme participant, The Netherlands), and Ms Marina Ceccon (TEP participant, Italy), moderated by Ms Ikram Ben Talha. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A.
