Youth Policy Dialogue with Commissioner Kubilius

Future challenges and opportunities for Europe’s security, defence and space 

The Youth Policy Dialogue on Space and Defence in Lisbon, Portugal, brought together students and young researchers for an in-person discussion with Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defence and Space. 

The exchange focused on Europe’s future challenges and opportunities in security, defence and space, including critical technologies, secure space communications, AI-enhanced intelligence and the EU Space Act. 

Participants engaged in a dynamic dialogue, drawing on their academic and research experience. The event also featured student-led project exhibitions showcasing rockets, autonomous aircraft and satellite technologies developed within the university ecosystem.
