Posljednje ažuriranje četvrtak, 28/11/2024

The list of selected European youth organisations has been published. Check out the results below!

In July 2024, the European Commission invited European youth organisations to express interest to become members of the EU Youth Stakeholders Group, a new network bringing together EU national youth councils, EU Member States, European youth organisations, researchers and stakeholders, and the EU Institutions. It is part of the legacy of the European Year of Youth 2022.

The European Commission received 76 applications, of which 66 organisations were found eligible based on the following criteria:

  1. being youth-led or having a youth advisory structure;
  2. operating as non-profit organisations based in the EU;
  3. having members from and/or operating in at least six EU countries;
  4. being able to demonstrate representativeness (i.e. number of members) and capacity to reach a wide number of diverse young people;
  5. demonstrating alignment to EU values: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights.

Based on the selection criteria as described in the call for expression of interest, and the need to ensure balance of geographical coverage, policy area expertise and diversity, 41 organisations were selected to become members of the EU Youth Stakeholders Group. Check out the list of selected organisations.

Of the selected organisations:

  1. 71% are youth-led. The remaining have a youth-advisory structure, which contributes to the decision-making process;
  2. 54% are not part of any other networks, stakeholder or expert groups run by the European Commission;
  3. 46% contribute to the EU Youth Dialogue;
  4. 27% have activities or members in all EU Member States. The remaining have activities or members in at least half of all EU Member States.

The EU Youth Stakeholders Group will kick off its work in 2025.
