Posljednje ažuriranje srijeda, 08/01/2025

The wait is over. Today, the European Commission reveals the results of the DiscoverEU October 2024 round.

35,762 of the 135,693 young people aged 18 who applied will receive a travel pass to explore the continent’s diversity, learn about its cultural heritage and history, and connect with people from every corner of Europe. Successful applicants will travel alone or in a group of up to five, mainly by rail, between March 2025 and May 2026.

Glenn Micallef, EU Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, said: “This is not just a trip, it’s a life-changing journey. Every station, every café, every new face you meet, adds to your story. You’re not just seeing Europe; you’re living it. To every young explorer with a travel pass in hand: go out there and make it unforgettable!”

As part of the Erasmus+ programme, this application round of DiscoverEU was open to youngsters born between 1 January 2006 and 31 December 2006 from EU Member States as well as those from Erasmus+ associated countries. DiscoverEU also includes a learning dimension, with pre-departure information trainings or Meet-ups throughout Europe. Young participants can join #DiscoverEU Official Facebook Group to connect with the DiscoverEU community. More information on DiscoverEU is available in the factsheet.
