Your voice matters: help shape the EU’s Circular Economy Act

Последна актуализация вторник, 31/03/2026

The European Commission is inviting you to share your views on the forthcoming Circular Economy Act (CEA), a key EU initiative planned for adoption later in 2026.

Europe must move away from today’s “take–make–waste” model of production, where resources are used once and then discarded. Instead, we need a “circular economy”, where products and materials are kept in use for as long as possible and waste is minimised.

Such a transition will reduce the EU’s dependence on imported raw materials used in everyday products such as smartphones, batteries, cars and clothing. Many of these materials are already present in our products or in our waste, and could be reused or recycled. The CEA aims to improve how we use these resources, helping Europe become more sustainable, resource-efficient and competitive. Share your views to make it happen.

Why does this matter to you?

A stronger circular economy will make our economy more resilient and increase our security, since we will depend less on imports of materials and energy from other countries. It will create new jobs and support innovation and new business opportunities. Products that last longer and are easier to repair will help reduce the cost of living. Reducing waste and pollution will contribute to a cleaner environment and a better quality of life.
