Youth Career Accelerator in Health: Geneva 2026

A 5-day immersive workshop in Geneva equipping professionals with practical skills, expert mentorship, and global networks to launch impactful careers in health. 5 fully funded seats are available for people who learned about this event in the European Youth Portal.
The Youth Career Accelerator in Health (YCAH), co-organised by UNITAR and Empower School of Health, brings together students and early-career professionals from around the world for a 5-day immersive workshop on building careers in global health. It takes place 17–21 August 2026 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, the world's leading hub for health diplomacy.
If you're a student or early-career professional studying, working in, or exploring a career in health, and you want to understand how global health works across policy, innovation and industry, this invitation is for you!
Whether you come from public health, digital health, pharma, biotech, policy or research, and whether you're just starting out or seeking clarity on where to go next, the YCAH team wants to meet you.
What do you get?
- Expert-led sessions and case studies with UN officials, global health leaders and industry professionals;
- Site visits to UN agencies, diplomatic missions, Swiss hospitals, universities and pharma and biotech companies;
- Four career tracks: Global & Climate Health, Public Health Systems & Policy, Digital Health & Innovation, and Pharmaceutical & Biotech Careers;
- A place in a global network of peers and mentors, with continued mentorship and alumni access after Geneva.
How to apply?

- During registration, indicate that you’re applying through the European Youth Portal (5 fully funded seats for people who learned about this event here).
- You’ll get a dedicated login and the team will follow up with you individually to request your application for the funded seats and guide you through the selection.
The programme aims for at least 50% women participation.
