Short description
Study in Greece is Greece’s national agency for the internationalisation of Greek Higher Education. Operating under the auspices of four Greek Ministries: Education, Foreign Affairs, Culture, and Tourism, SiG is fully supported by the Greek State.
The Study in Greece Portal hosts and maintains all the pertinent information related to the Greek academic world, study options for international students and student life in Greece. Presenting and promoting the wide variety of international study programmes offered by Greek Public Universities, SiG constitutes the official bridge between the Greek and international academic community.
SiG’s core mission is to promote Greek Public Universities abroad through participation in international education fairs, the organisation of international promotional campaigns and the development of a series of digital platforms that enhance networking and collaboration between Greek and international universities, academics and researchers. In addition, SiG organises short-term courses in collaboration with Greek and international HEIs, which offer international participants the opportunity to combine studies, culture and leisure in Greece.
SiG is continuously expanding its international network of collaborating universities, foreign embassies and educational and cultural organisations through the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs). SiG also aspires to become the point of reference for the Greeks of the diaspora who want to find useful information about studies and educational activities in Greece, discover the Greek culture and connect with their roots.

How to study in Greece
Short description
This page by DOATAP provides essential information for individuals wishing to study in Greece. It explains that foreign university graduates no longer need DOATAP recognition to pursue postgraduate studies in Greece. Applicants apply directly to the Greek university, which checks whether the foreign institution and degree type are included in the national registers of recognised institutions and titles. If not, the university consults DOATAP for further verification.
