Centrum Molenmoes is a centre where different projects are located: day care for youngsters that do not attend school, a rope course, activities with the neighbourhood, summerprogramms and more. All the projects support in a different way youngsters with diverse problematics. The centre has different spaces, that have been in constant change, especially out of the passion of previous volunteers: a garden, a compost toilet, a stone oven, nature pads, sculptures and art in the forest, a music podium, rope course,... According to the capacities and interests, the volunteer will help out with practical support in the centre (fixing broken things, finding new ways to reduce/reuse/recycle what we have, helping with the garden, bringing new ideas and trying to involve our youngsters in the work with our environment.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteer will live in a house near to the project (app 500m) together with other ESC volunteers. It is located in a small village. The volunteer will have a room that he/she can lock with a key. Bathroom and kitchen are in common with other volunteers. Terras and outside places are in common with another project. The volunteer is getting a food budget to arrange his food outside the work hours. During work the volunteer has lunch in the project. The volunteer will get a bike to go to the shop, the bus or train station. A bus card is provided to travel with the bus to the city.
Wat leer je?
Since it will be a short programm training will be limited. The volunteer will learn by experience and exchange with other volunteers and/or workers.
Wie zoeken we?
A volunteer with a passion for environmental issues, ecology, repairing skills, garden and eventually cooking. A social volunteer eager to network and involve locals in activities is a surplus. willing to work outdoors, keep outdoor spaces in a good shape Being able to organize some work by yourself, taking initiative to organise the work and do proposals able to live in rural setting (nearest city Leuven is 12km), willing to use the bike or bus independant in living,cooking, taking care of the house
