Compagnons Bâtisseurs France is a network of organizations implemented all around France, that helps people facing difficulties to renovate their home. We host around 150 long-term volunteers each year (ESC volunteers and local volunteers under the French civic service). These volunteers do renovation workcamps, workshop with the inhabitants etc. At the national organisation, we host a volunteer whose mission is to foster the networking and communication within the volunteer’s community. The missions are : - Promote the work of the volunteers (management of social media, photos, videos, producing leaflets etc.) - Support and foster the community of volunteers (organisation of trainings, welcome meetings, maps, management of WhatsApp groups, generally providing information and support, supporting mobility across France and the EU) - Support the organisation of national trainings and network meetings and events, participate to the youth teams missions

Food, accommodation, international and local transport is fully covered by the ESC programme. The volunteer will be hosted in the National organisation of les Compagnons Bâtisseurs, based in Rennes. She/he will live in a shared house, with other volunteers from different local organisations. He/she will have his/her own room. The house is a 2-minute walk from our organisation headquarters, and 20 min by foot from the city centre. The volunteer receives 600 euros per month for food and pocket money.

On a daily basis, the volunteer will be supported by a professional from the Youth and mobility area of the organisation, and will also have some technical support from the communication officer. Another mentor will help her/him with dealing with all the other aspect of the volunteer’s life. Furthermor, our national movement organises volunteers’ gatherings 3 times a year, in addition to the Erasmus+ National agency arrival and mid-term seminars. We'll support the volunteers' to develop his/her own projects during the whole experience.
Osallistujan profiili
We are looking for someone who understands our movement and is sensitive to our values. The future volunteer would have to be sociable, curious, interested by interculturality, outgoing, creative. She/he will have the want to learn about communication tools, and work in a diverse team. A good level of English seems really needed to communicate easily, and some French would be amazing (but not mandatory of course). In any cases, a strong motivation to learn French is mandatory (some member of our teams and a lot of volunteers don't speak english) - support will be provided for a smooth learning.
