Apraksts
Brot del Sud is an agricultural company of Obre't'ebre where we grow with ecological methods; we involve people at risk of social exclusion. We make baskets of seasonal vegetables weekly, we are cultivating olive trees, and we have two small leased orchards, one mixed orchard and citrus, the other is for the cultivation of PAM (aromatic and medicinal plants), we plant and we return to the market, varieties of old and native vegetables, we promote the trade of kilometer zero, participate in the local fairs, we maintain the traditions and the values of a work that, on the other hand, will disappear in few generations and we take care of the environment, the ecosystem and biodiversity. The volunteer will be supporting the organization in its activities, promoting ecological agriculture, helping to prepare the environmental exchange, organizing workshops for a local community, promote the ESC volunteering. Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
The volunteers will be living in a house in the countryside and sharing a room (4-6 persons per room) Common spaces (dining room, kitchen, bathroom, open areas) have to be shared. Pocket money: The volunteers will receive pocket money each month: 5 euros per day. Food: the volunteer will be cooking in groups, the food will be supplied by the coordinating organization + a basket of ecological and seasonal vegetables from our insertion company. Transport: if necessary, the volunteer will be offered a second-hand bike. Volunteers can go walking to the project or go by bike.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
- The first week the volunteers will have a "welcome week" - On arrival and mid-term training provided by the Spanish National Agency - Cultural presentation during the first months of volunteering. - Catalan language course - Activities of knowledge of the territory - Workshops on ecological agriculture and sustainable cooking - Complementary training and activities during the project will be organized.
Dalībnieka profils
We expect the volunteer to like nature, and to have an interest in learning more about ecological agriculture and sustainable way of living. Able to speak some Spanish before arrival and working living in a small area (about 30.000 people). Tortosa is not Barcelona ;) We expect the volunteer to be active, to take initiative, to have the willingness to learn, and to be resolutive. The language level or professional experience is not important, we value the ATTITUDE.
