CMX is the Youth Council of Gijón. Our work is focused on young people and on promoting youth participation.
Create social media content:Promote activities on social media by preparing posts, stories and reels, following current trends, proposing new ideas and helping to make European opportunities more visible to young people.
Organise language groups:Organise and facilitate conversation groups in English and, if possible, in French, German or other languages.
Support the “Health and Equality Mediation” programme:Support the promotion of peer health mediation among young people in secondary schools and in different youth settings, such as concerts, festivals, information stands...
Collaborate with the European Youth Information Service:Assist young people who are looking for information about European programmes, support the follow-up of European volunteers...
Collaborate with other NGOs:Participate in activities proposed by other organisations working with young people.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
Accommodation, food and pocket money are covered by the programme, and travel costs are covered according to the European Commission’s distance calculator. You will live in a flat rented for young people together with two other European volunteers, so there will be 3 European volunteers in total. Each volunteer will have their own private room. The flats are provided with everything you need and are located near the office and the city centre. Each volunteer will receive €300/month for food and €180/month as pocket money. In total, each volunteer will receive €480/month
Mācības pasākuma laikā
The volunteers wich will participate in this project will have a opportunity to attend the on arrival, mid term and other trainings wich the NA of Spain will organise, also the host organisation will organise different activities and training where they can participate. (International Film Festival of Gijón) The volunteers will receive on-line language courses. The volunteers will also receive the support of a local mentor to help integrate within the community and develop and follow his/her personal development plan during the project
Dalībnieka profils
Volunteers must be young people (18-30 years old) motivated to experiment a non formal learning process in our entity. No prior experience is required on the project topic. Candidate profile: motivated to volunteer and have an intercultural experience, adaptable and flexible, open-minded, creative, with average knowledge of Spanish and better if speak in more languages (English/German/French), motivated to make videos for social networks and emotionally balanced. Only EU countries.
