As Pi Youth Association, we work under 3 main topics. These are, “Strengthening the Local Youth”, “Youth Rights” and “Youth Problems”. Our efforts towards strengthening the youth includes; courses, seminars, workshops etc. for 15 to 30 year old people and these activities are being held mostly in İzmir. Each month, we plan these activities and organize them in our association’s training hall. We also expect to see personal efforts towards our “Strengthening the Local Youth” goal from the volunteers we will host through this project. We will organize spare time activities such as; language workshops, speaking clubs and self-improvement workshops in various areas for them. Just like everything else, these activities also do get planned monthly and organized on a weekly basis. This also includes our work with volunteers. !! Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteer is accommodated in the project. All the meals will be provided by the project. The volunteer will receive 150€ pocket money per month. Our association frequently hosts international volunteers. Therefore, we have a “volunteer house” for the residence of our volunteers. And we plan to host our volunteers who will come via this project in that volunteer house. Our Volunteer house is 150 square meters and it has 3 bedrooms along with a living room. In this house, we’re planning to host 3-4 volunteers.
Wat leer je?
Support and training will be provided by the staff of the organization. Specialists and the staff will help the volunteer to integrate to the work and the activities organized by the project, gain more knowledge of the field and improve competences related to it. To give them linguistically tools, the volunteer will have two Turkish lessons during their whole service with an experienced tutor of Turkish as foreign language.
Wie zoeken we?
Being able to work as a team. Preferably someone who’s been involved in youth work. Preferably someone who has necessary information about youth work and it’s policies. Someone who is not timid to share his/her skills and knowledge. Someone who is sensitive to; human rights, environment and democratical approach. Someone who doesn’t have racist, prejudicial and intolerant tendencies or feelings. Someone who is experienced in using Microsoft Office Applications. !!
