Opis
With our Hungarian partner, you will help homeless people and families in need, providing them with accommodation and helping them to increase their chances for reintegration with the help of social work and other services. Amongst other, here are some tasks you could do: Participate or lead language, sport, art, music or movie clubs ; Help in charity shops ; Organize donations and assistance ; Participate in events and festivals with the team ; Gardening ; Help in animal shelters with the clients ; - Manage Facebook and Instagram pages. We regularly have availability in this project, please check with us.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Accommodation: It is a separate apartment for 4 volunteers, located in the building of the organization. It has 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and 1 room for common use) and it is well-equipped. You will find there everything you might need during your stay. The place is in Budapest, about 30-40 minutes from the city center by public transportation. Food: you will receive 150 euros as food allowance each month. Transport: You will be provided with free monthly transport passes to use all vehicles in Budapest. In addition, bicycles are also available for shopping or excursions.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
With us, before departure: - We make sure that you participate in a preparatory training day in the Netherlands (free of charge: we pay for your travel costs for this training). - If you want, we can also help you write a convincing motivation letter and a good resume in English. With the hosting organization: - As a volunteer, you will get mandatory training courses organized by the National Agency of your hosting country (on arrival and mid-term training). - Depending on the organization, you may also get extra trainings during your project.
Profil sudionika
You are between 18 and 30 years old // You are available for at least five months (in exceptional cases, shorter placements are also possible) // ESC is not an internship or part of a formal training, hence you cannot do an ESC project to comply with an obligation from your study program // You live in the Netherlands // You have never done another long term ESC volunteering project (more than 2 months) // You are motivated and curious to meet new people and discover another culture // You want to promote social solidarity and responsibility // You want to learn the basics of Hungarian
