The GEPEC-EdC is an NGO for the Conservation of Nature, fauna and flora. Non-profit and independently, for more than 35 years, we have been working to improve the environment and protect our natural heritage, thanks to the support and commitment of many people. At GEPEC-EdC we focus on reporting actions that harm the environment, while promoting the dissemination and awareness of the local environment through an extensive program of activities.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteers will be living in a house in the countryside and sharing a room (4-6 persons per room) Common spaces (dining room, kitchen, bathroom, open areas) have to be shared. Pocket money: The volunteers will receive pocket money each month: 5 euros per day. Food: the volunteer will be cooking in groups, the food will be supplied by the coordinating organization + a basket of ecological and seasonal vegetables from our insertion company. Transport: if necessary, the volunteer will be offered a second-hand bike. Volunteers can go walking to the project or go by bike.
Wat leer je?
- The first week the volunteers will have a "welcome week" - On arrival and mid-term training provided by the Spanish National Agency - Cultural presentation during the first months of volunteering. - Catalan language course - Activities of knowledge of the territory - Workshops on ecological agriculture and sustainable cooking - Complementary training and activities during the project will be organized.
Wie zoeken we?
We expect the volunteer to like nature, and to have an interest in learning more about ecological agriculture and sustainable way of living. Able to speak some Spanish before arrival and working living in a small area (about 30.000 people). Tortosa is not Barcelona ;) We expect the volunteer to be active, to take initiative, to have the willingness to learn, and to be resolutive. The language level or professional experience is not important, we value the ATTITUDE.
